BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Central Illinois Flying Aces unveiled on Tuesday the brand-new format for the Kids Club for the 2018-19 season, the team’s fifth season as a member of the United States Hockey League.
The Flying Aces’ Kids Club will be free of charge for the 2018-19 season and members will receive a free ticket to the home opener and each Sunday game (approximately 4-6 Sunday games depending on schedule) in addition to a host of other perks.
As a member of the Flying Aces' Kids Club, each child will receive a personalized badge that includes their photo in a Flying Aces jersey. During the 2018-19 season, Kids Club members will receive a free ticket to the home opener and Sunday games by showing their badge at the Grossinger Motors Arena box office. The badge will also allow Kids Club members to score on several other benefits, including free skate rental for all postgame skates and a 10 percent discount on all kids apparel at The Hangar, the official team store of the Flying Aces, along with other perks to be named later.
Leading up to the start of the season, kids will have the opportunity to register for the Flying Aces' Kids Club and get their photo taken in a Flying Aces jersey at several events throughout Central Illinois. The first such event will be the Towanda 4th of July Flea Market in Towanda, Illinois, on Wednesday, July 4, which begins at 9 a.m. The Flying Aces will also conduct Kids Club registration in conjunction with McFamily Day on Aug. 9 from 2-6 p.m. at the McDonald’s location off Oakland Ave. and the Sweet Corn Blues Festival in Uptown Normal on Aug. 25-26.
Kids must be 12 years old or younger to be eligible for the Flying Aces' Kids Club and can also register online using this link. Those registering online will be contacted by the Flying Aces to set up a time to have their photo taken in a Flying Aces jersey for the Kids Club badge. The Flying Aces will mail out all Kids Club badges prior to the start of the season, which begins in early October. Kids Club members will also have the opportunity to purchase the official Flying Aces' Kids Club t-shirt for just $10. That t-shirt will be available for pick up at the home opener, the date for which will be announced in the coming days.
