BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Central Illinois Flying Aces announced their full promotional schedule for the 2018-2019 season on Wednesday. This season features three games with specialty jerseys: Salute to Service Night (Nov. 10), Star Wars Night (Jan. 5), and Hockey Fights Cancer Night (Feb. 16) which will all be auctioned off to benefit local charities.
The schedule also includes the ever popular Teddy Bear Toss Night (Dec. 1), WWE Night with ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan (Dec. 28), and Fan Appreciation Night (April 13).
Every Friday night game features $3.00 Domestic Draft Beers with every Saturday night game featuring $1.00 hot dogs.
Every Sunday game will be followed by a post-game skate with the players and all kids’ tickets are $5.

Saturday, Nov. 10 vs. Dubuque Fighting Saints: Salute to Service Night
The Central Illinois Flying Aces are proud to host their first annual Salute to Service night at Grossinger Motors Arena. The night will focus on honoring veterans and paying respects to the future service members with the Oath of Enlistment ceremony. Aces players will be wearing special American themed jerseys that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Peoria Iron Sights Disabled Veteran Hockey Club.
Sunday, Nov. 11 vs. Muskegon Lumberjacks: Sunday Funday
As with every Sunday Funday, there will be a post-game skate with the Flying Aces players following the game.
Friday, Nov. 16 vs. Youngstown Phantoms: Girl Scout Night
The Girl Scouts of Central Illinois will be able to participate in a pre-game skate. They’ll enjoy a Pep Rally discussing teamwork with an Aces player, and all the girls will receive Girl Scout fun patches.
Saturday, Nov. 17 vs. Youngstown Phantoms: Medical Professionals Night
The Aces recognize all the local medical professionals! Fans have the opportunity to receive a winter hat presented by OSF.
Friday, Nov. 23 vs. Team USA (U18s): Black Friday
The Aces face off against the projected first overall pick in 2019 NHL draft in a Black Friday game. There will be special promotions all day at the Hangar to get all the new Aces merchandise.
Saturday, Nov. 24 vs. Chicago Steel: Ladies’ Night
Come celebrate the hockey loving women in your life! The Aces will be celebrating girls’ hockey including opportunities for all women to participate in an open skate and learn to play events on the day.
Saturday, Dec. 1 vs. Chicago Steel: Teddy Bear Toss Night
It’s the annual Teddy Bear Toss Night! Come with a teddy bear and be ready to throw it onto the ice when the Aces score their first goal. The bears will be donated local children’s hospitals and Toys for Tots.
Sunday, Dec. 2 vs. Madison Capitols: Boy Scout Night
This Sunday Funday is Boy Scout night! All the local boy scouts are invited out to watch the game and participate in other fun activities.
Sunday, Dec. 9 vs. Omaha Lancers: Christmas Game
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The Aces will be celebrating Christmas on this Sunday afternoon and will follow the game with a skate with the players. Special appearance by Santa.
Friday, Dec. 28 vs. Chicago Steel: Connect Transit presents WWE Night
‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan will be in the house for WWE Night presented by Connect Transit. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Hacksaw and get an autograph from the star.
Friday, Jan. 4 vs. Omaha Lancers: Blackhawks & Blues Night/Union Appreciation
The Aces are celebrating local union members on Blackhawks/Blues night. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Jim Cornelison as he sings the national anthem and signs autographs.
Saturday, Jan. 5 vs. Chicago Steel: Star Wars Night
The Aces will be wearing specialty Stars Wars jerseys which will be auctioned off for charity. There will be a lightsaber giveaway for fans.
Monday, Jan. 21 vs. Madison Capitols: Battle of the Bands
Local schools have the opportunity to write and perform our new fight song! The bands will battle it out on this night as a winner is chosen.
Friday, Feb. 15 vs. Tri-City Storm: Special Olympics Night
Join the Aces as we honor the Special Olympics community!
Saturday, Feb. 16 vs. Tri-City Storm: OSF & Hockey Fights Cancer Night
OSF hosts Hockey Fights Cancer Night. The Aces will be wearing specialty jerseys which will be auctioned off with proceeds going to a local charity.
Thursday, Feb. 21 vs. Muskegon Lumberjacks: Education Day
The Aces will host local schools for the annual education day! Local schools are invited to join us for an education field trip. Youth jerseys presented by Aloha Construction and Parkway Auto Laundry will be given to the first 500 fans.
Sunday, Feb. 24 vs. Youngstown Phantoms: Super Hero Day
This Sunday Funday is also Super Hero day! Come out for the chance to meet your favorite super heroes and receive a special Flying Aces super hero cape.
Wednesday, Feb. 27 vs. Team USA (U18s): Dodgeball Night
The National Team Development Program is back in town for Dodgeball night.
Friday, March 1 vs. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders: Ag Night
It’s Ag night! Join the Aces in celebrating all involved in the local agriculture business.
Saturday, March 9 vs. Muskegon Lumberjacks: 309 Black Out Night
The Aces will be highlighting local businesses and community on 309 night. The Aces encourage fans to join the CIGHA girls in wearing black to support the local ‘I Hate Cancer Club’.
Saturday, March 16 vs. Sioux City Musketeers: Local Heroes Night
Come celebrate Bloomington-Normal’s local heroes as we honor our police, firefighters, first responders, and more!
Sunday, March 17 vs. Sioux City Musketeers: St. Patty’s Celebration
It’s great to be green! Come celebrate St. Patty’s with the Aces.
Saturday, March 30 vs. Muskegon Lumberjacks: Teacher Appreciation & Dash for Cash
We will be inviting teachers from the Bloomington-Normal Area for the opportunity to dash for cash and win big.
Saturday, April 13 vs. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders: Fan Appreciation Night
Our final regular season home game of the season will be Flying Aces Fan Appreciation Night.
